Western Massachusetts Soccer Officials Association

Each year, the Western Massachusetts Soccer Officials Association presents two awards for notable participation in soccer in Hampshire and Franklin counties.  First, the WMSOA offers the Frederick Ames Award to the coach and team who exhibit both laudable play and commendable sporting conduct.  The Ames Award, given in memory of a long tenured  member of the WMSOA, succeeds the Charles Niedzwiecki Award.

Also, the Association bestows annually the C. Bradley McGrath Award for notable contributions to soccer in Franklin and Hampshire counties.  This award is named for a notable, long-standing member of the WMSOA and is presented customarily to an administrator, a coach, or a referee.  This award succeeds the John Skarzynski Award.
